DERMAL FILLERS

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. But, with JUVÉDERM® injectable gel, you don't have to just sit back and let it happen.

Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, Juvéderm™ injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face. They are especially effective on smile lines and "parentheses" (nasolabial folds) that run from the bottom of the nose to the sides of the mouth.

Typically some form of local or topical anesthesia is required for your comfort and treatment takes only 15-20 minutes with immediate results and minimal downtime. Results typically last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.

Juvéderm™ Ultra and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus

FDA-approved Juvéderm™ products are made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to provide volume and support to the skin. Juvéderm™ comes in two formulas optimized for the depth of the area being treated. Juvéderm™ Ultra can be used for more superficial lines and lip enhancement while Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus, a more advanced, cross-linked formula is used for the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles or folds in the mid- to deep dermis such as the nasolabial folds.

Restylane®

Restylane® can also be used to replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The common areas are treated nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the mouth) cheek bones, hollows in the cheeks and lines round the mouth. Fillers last from 6-12 months. As we get older, we lose volume in the face, which gives a more aged appearance. The dermal fillers help to restore that volume. This non-surgical treatment replaces the natural collagen support under the skin. Restylane® is hyaluronic acid product and does not require allergy testing.
